My mission here is to paint an accurate picture of Seattle as seen through the eyes of a Chicagoan, but without using paint. The worst career advice ever quoted was uttered by that overrated, overpaid, celebrity photographer, Annie Leibovitz. She said, "You will always be judged by your last photograph." This philosophy castrates creativity and risk taking. Paul McCartney will most likely always be judged by "Yesterday" rather than by the song he wrote yesterday. -Steve

"He Never Believed In Banks"

This 96 year-old Seattle resident had the crazy notion that putting has cash in a bank was risky, so instead he stashed it under his mattress. Looks like he got the last laugh now.
