She refused to sell to developers. It's a win/win for both sides. I should also point out that this is 10 miles north of downtown Seattle. A house like this on a normal street (not surrounded by walls) would cost half a million dollars in Seattle.

My mission here is to paint an accurate picture of Seattle as seen through the eyes of a Chicagoan, but without using paint. The worst career advice ever quoted was uttered by that overrated, overpaid, celebrity photographer, Annie Leibovitz. She said, "You will always be judged by your last photograph."
